We currently service Victoria but will soon be Australia wide.
The head office is in Melbourne.
No 99% of time we do not charge for quotes.
If there is a something unusual about the scope of your job – perhaps there is some design work involved – then we will let you know prior to proceeding.
If multiple trades are involved who manages them to come in at the right times?
One of our dedicated Hire A Tradesman consultants will personally be responsible for managing each of the trades required to complete the job and bringing them in at the appropriate times.
Will the Hire A Tradesman consultant meet me on site?
Absolutely.
As soon as you give us the job details we will arrange to meet you on site to go through the property so we know exactly what is required for each tradesperson. Alternatively if you prefer you can give us a set of keys and we will walk through ourselves and take notes and photos.
Are you more expensive than going straight to the tradesperson direct?
No.
We know that you want to get the best price for your client but also want the job completed well.
As you will see our quotes are competitive.
The added value of being able to use a one stop shop for all the trades will be a huge time saver for you.

We will do that for you and we will keep you updated as to the progress of the quotes. You can also check each job status on line – see below under “keeping track of my job”
How will I know if a job request has been received?
We will email you immediately to let you know we have received your job request.
Will Hire A Tradesman contact the owners direct if necessary or collect keys from our office?
Yes, no problem. We can also provide key safes to leave at the premises to allow our trades to come through if the property is vacant.
Who do we receive the quote from and how do we pay?
You will receive a detailed quote from Hire A Tradesman. When you are ready to proceed, just let us know and we will arrange for the work to be completed.
Hire A Tradesman will then send you the invoice on completion.
For jobs over a certain amount we ask for a deposit. This allows us to book in your job and purchase materials as required.
We ask that all payments are made within 14 days of completion of the work.
We know that this is not always possible and we are happy to discuss this with you.
We accept payment through internet banking or cheque.
What if we are not happy with the work completed?
In the unlikely event that this may happen, one call or email to us is all that it takes to have the problem fixed.
Remember you don’t have to deal with the tradespeople – WE DO!
Can you supply more than one quote?
If you require it we can provide more than one quote. However we find that this is not often necessary.
Are you and your trades insured?
Hire A Tradesman carries the appropriate Public Liability Insurance and we insist that the tradespeople we use carry the same.
How do you pick your trades? – what is your system
We have a thorough system that we have tried and tested which allows us to assess and gauge each tradesperson we speak to.
We decided the best way to assure our clients of getting a good quality tradesman was to invite trades to join us so that they would be accountable to us.
By doing this we can assure our clients that we only use trades we know that have pride in their business, that genuinely care about what they do and want the work.
All the trades we use carry the appropriate insurance.

We have a custom built online management system, specific to Hire A Tradesman where you can keep tabs and see the status of each of the jobs you send us.
